What's RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Syndication in this instance meaning consumers and journalists are now able to have news and information fed to them instead of searching for it. RSS provides web content or summaries of web content together with links to the full versions of the content.

If you want to subscribe to puppetevents.com’s RSS feed, you will first need to have a software tool called a feed reader or aggregator that can read the feed’s XML language. The software tool can take the form of a software application or an online service through a Web page. Some are free, while others charge a fee for the service.

An Internet search for “RSS Reader” or “RSS Aggregator” will yield multiple results. In addition, some browsers such as IE7 or Mozilla Firefox have integrated RSS management and reading tools.

Once you have established a way to manage and read the RSS feeds, you’ll need to subscribe to a feed. To subscribe to puppetevents.com's feed, copy the feed address from the Subscribe web page or the RSS Feed web page and paste it into the RSS management tool.

For more information, Wikipedia contains a history of RSS as well as several tutorials that may be helpful.
